Tropical rainforests cover only 7% of the earth's surface, yet 1/2 of the world's species of plants
and animals are found there.

Clearing rain forests not only reduces natures capacity to produce oxygen, it adds green house
gases to the atmosphere.

As much as 1/4 of the carbon dioxide in the air was released when rain forests are burned.
